Monday Refuel....Finding the Wisdom of God.

Finding the Wisdom of God

My son, if you receive my words
    and treasure up my commandments with you,
 making your ear attentive to wisdom
    and inclining your heart to understanding;
 yes, if you call out for insight
    and raise your voice for understanding,
 if you seek it like silver
    and search for it as for hidden treasures,
 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
    and find the knowledge of God.

(Proverbs 2:1-5, ESV)

Finding the presence of God's wisdom in our daily lives is not always easy. Some of us can see God working in our lives and in the lives of others. While for some it may not be that easy to see. I truly believe we all want to see God working in our lives daily. It is something that most of us would like to experience in life.

Finding God's wisdom in our daily life involves our heart's ability to listen and receive the voice of God.

A receptive heart is the doorway to the path towards God. Once this begins, our eyes are opened to his presence and wisdom. When God's presence/wisdom is seen, we begin to listen and follow his ways. Our life becomes a life that is attentive to the voice of God. We seek God daily for wisdom in the choices we make.

Seeking, searching, pondering, re-thinking, and re-discovering are just a few of the things we will do when we desire to encounter God. A lifetime of worship and honoring God becomes priority as we grow. Finding God's character is not so difficult when we are consistently seeking his presence and wisdom daily. We will begin to see God at work in our lives and in the lives of those whom we love and care about.

Finding God's presence and wisdom in our daily lives is like a treasure we have found. We  seek it all the more and we want more of it everyday. Keep seeking and you will find it. Stay with God in prayer, his Word, and seek the company of those who have him in their daily lives. Stay the course and you will see.

Keep looking...Trent
