The answers that you have for the journey of life may not be the answers that someone else has. Your answer may be Christianity, but what if someone else's answer is not Christianity? What do we do about it? Do we preach at them and claim superiority over them or do we share the journey with them? Could there ever be anything we could learn from others?? While standing firm in our profession of faith, we can learn a great deal from those of other faiths, practices, and religions.
Would we even know what to do when we encounter someone who thinks or who worships differently than we do? As followers of Christ we claim Christ as our leader/Savior. Our claim does not change when we share our journeys with others. The decision to change is entirely up to the individual. Me, personally, the research and discovery that there is 'more' out there has strengthened my stance within the Christianity (love) in which I profess. I see that I am blessed beyond measure to serve the loving God that I serve.
So, don't be afraid to "get out" and listen to the stories and history of those around you that are from another faith, practice, or religion. Step out of your small, tunnel of faith and see that there is 'more'. I don't mean 'more' in the way of truth or morality, but 'more' in the way of sharing the journey and learning so much from others. As I mentioned earlier, we just might learn something new or we may begin to appreciate people with a whole new perspective.....get out and share the journey with someone 'different'...
Journey on...don't be afraid...and have fun!
